Time to Zone In...

Hey family, it’s been a while! I hope you all are doing well. Summer is over.. Fall is slowly setting in… the leaves are changing, and maybe your fitness goals are as well. Let’s talk about it.


During the summer, we want to look our best. We’re going on vacation, we’re wearing less, we want to feel more confident in our bodies because we’re showing more of it. As we inch closer to winter, there’s a lot less pressure to look a certain way. We’re wearing more, showing less, and comfortable with being a bit heavier than we are in the summer. It’s normal to want to shed weight for the summer, and to focus on comfort for the winter. 


I encourage you to focus on your best self throughout the entire year. Some people work on their summer bodies in the winter. Personally my goal is to gain weight (muscle) in the fall and winter months, and shed extra fat in the spring. 


Now is the time to focus on your goals for the next year ahead. What is your goal weight, and how much effort are you able to realistically commit to your goal? How many times per week will you workout? What changes will you make to your diet?


One thing that I will be incorporating into my fitness/wellness routine going forward is fasting. I have been posting a lot of content about the benefits of fasting on my IG/FB stories lately. For instance, did you know that after 14 hours of fasting, your body begins to burn stored fat for fuel? For those of us who want to build muscle with minimal fat gain, this tool helps to streamline that process by forcing the body into survival mode and eating its own excess fat. It does wonders for your fitness goals and also your health.
